New Features - Build 5
 1. Online ordering is now supported for Tech Data Canada!

 2. The QuoteWerks Product Content Subscription now supports Consumer Pricing from Staples (USA, Canada, and UK) and Provantage (USA).

 3. SugarCRM 6.7 is now supported!

 4. Maximizer 12.2 is now supported!

 5. Sage 50 US Edition (Peachtree) version 2014 is now supported!

 6. For QuoteValet users, the QuoteValet Dashboard InBox tab loads up to 20 times faster!

 7. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for Tech Data Canada. We've negotiated an arrangement with Tech Data Canada to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 8. Grouped Bundles on the quote can now be converted to a single recurring monthly revenue amount (Recurring Groups). All the individual items in the bundle are totaled and then you can set an Annual Percentage Rate (APR) and a Term like 24 months. This calculates the monthly payment amount which the Group Header line will display in the UnitPrice field. There are some new macro fields to display information related to the Recurring Group which are "&GroupExtendedPricePreRecurring" and "&GroupExtendedPriceWithTaxPreRecurring". These macros will show the total amount of all the items in the grouped bundle before the total was converted to a monthly amount. They are available as columns on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts. In addition to converting a grouped bundle to recurring in the Quote WorkBook, you can also setup Grouped Bundles and Grouped Configuration definitions to be recurring. This functionality is useful for Hardware as a Service (HaaS) quoting.

 9. For QuickBooks users, when exporting items to QuickBooks there is now a QuickBooks ItemName auto-generation feature. In the simplest scenario you can setup the link to just use a QuoteWerks part number like the Manufacturer field as the QuickBooks ItemName. As a starting point the value from a specified field like the QuoteWerks ManufacturerPartNumber field is used. The auto-generation feature will allow for more than this when the InternalPartNumber or any CustomTextxx field is selected as the mapped field. This new auto-generation feature will allow for many scenarios of use, including the ability to maintain your own proprietary part numbers in QuickBooks and pull them from QuickBooks using the product data source link. You can even use the Etilize functionality in combination with your own proprietary parts in QuickBooks. There are 3 auto-generation options. With "Do not auto-generate", when exporting items to QuickBooks, if the mapped field is empty, this will stop and force you to specify your proprietary part number. If you pulled the part from QuickBooks, it will already have your proprietary part number from QuickBooks. This is useful when you have custom part numbers that are not based on any field or combination of fields. With "Do not auto-generate", when exporting items to QuickBooks, if the mapped field is empty, then you will be forced to manually specify an ItemName before proceeding. This is used when using your own proprietary part numbers. With "Auto-generate using macro:", when exporting items to QuickBooks, instead of just using a simple field value like the ManufacturerPartNumber to become the QuickBooks ItemName, you can choose to have the QuickBooks ItemName auto-generated using a macro like &DI_ItemType:&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber. With "Auto-generate using macro based on ItemType:", when exporting items to quickbooks, instead of just using a simple field value like the ManufacturerPartNumber to become the QuickBooks ItemName, you can choose to have the QuickBooks ItemName auto-generated based on the ItemType of the Item. So, for example if the ItemType is "Haas", then you can map to an auto-generation macro of "Haas:&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber, but if the ItemType is "Hardware" then you can map to an auto-generation macro of just "&DI_ManufacturerPartNumber". You can also set a value for "If any ItemTypes are not mapped use the following macro:"

 10. For QuickBooks users, when linking to QuickBooks as a product data source, the QuickBooks Manufacturer field is now available for display in the product lookup and can also be mapped to a CustomText or ManufacturerPartNumber field in QuoteWerks. The manufacturer part number field is available in QuickBooks (SDK 7.0), QuickBooks USA 2008 and higher, QuickBooks AU/UK 2009 and higher. To have access to this new column, you will need to edit the QuickBooks Product Data Sources under the Products->Setup Product Data Sources menu and choose to include these new columns.

 11. The Excel formatted Tech Data Price Quotation that you receive from your Tech Data sales rep can now be imported into QuoteWerks. If you have the QuoteWerks Real-time module and have entered Tech Data USA real-time credentials, a new "Import Tech Data Excel Quote" icon will appear above the DocumentItems grid. Just click on that and choose the Excel price quotation that you receive from your Tech Data sales rep and the quote will be imported into QuoteWerks. If you select a line in the quote before importing, the Tech Data price quote will be inserted above the selected line. If no line is selected then the quote will be imported at the end of the quote. The Tech Data quotation #, the shipping amount and the freight amount are inserted as a non-printing comment line for your reference. If there are any promo notes for the imported items they will appear in the Notes column for each line item. After the Tech Data Excel Price quote file is imported, it will be linked automatically on the File Links tab for future reference.

 12. For MS CRM 5.0 users, Office 365 logins now supported! These are used with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. Microsoft Passport Logins are still supported.

 13. You can now manually specify (vs auto-retrieve from product database) pictures on the Quote WorkBook for the following line types: GroupHeader, Heading, Comment, Summary, SubTotal, RunningSubTotal, PercentCharge, and PercentDiscount.

 14. The Open Document window (File->Open) has been re-designed. There are now new "My Recent Documents" and "All Recent Documents" menu bar items. These will show all the documents modified over the selected date range. Useful for quickly finding that quote you just created or modified, Today, Yesterday, This week, etc. The "My Documents" and "Documents" menu bar items bar items now have a new option to show "Active Quotes" or "All Quotes/Orders/Invoices", useful for pairing down active quotes that have not been converted to lost or converted to an order. "Active Quotes" are defined as a DocType=QUOTE and a DocStatus that does not equal the DocStatus value defined for a "Lost Quote". This is set on the Installation tab of the Tools->Options menu. Also, if a document has been converted to an ORDER or INVOICE then it will not be displayed in the "Active Quotes" list. From this "Documents" menu bar item you can also filter by a date range of when the quotes expire or a date range of the DocDate for the quotes.

 15. The "Search" menu bar now has two tabs "Search" and "More". The filter criteria set across these two tabs will be used when clicking on the [Find] button. On the "More" tab you can now filter by document GrandTotal amount, for example, like quotes with an amount greater than $3,500 and less than $10,000.

 16. On the "Search" menu bar of the Open Document window, you can now search for documents by a line item contained in the document. You can search, for example, for all documents that contain the phrase "special discount" in the line item description field. You can search the Description, ItemType, Manufacturer, ManufacturerPartNumber, Vendor, VendorPartNumber, and CustomTextXX fields. You can do Begins with, Ends With, Contains, Equal to, and Not Equal to searches.

 17. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for Tech Data UK (Computer2000). We've negotiated an arrangement with Tech Data UK (Computer2000) to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 18. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for BlueStar USA. We've negotiated an arrangement with BlueStar USA to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 19. The Product Content Subscription now has PartLocator support for Ingram Micro Australia. We've negotiated an arrangement with Ingram Micro Australia to host their product data so as to provide our mutual customers with the best experience possible.

 20. On the Purchasing tab of the Purchasing window, there is now a right click menu option of "Copy DocNo". Useful for copying the DocNo of an item and then opening the order from the Open Document window.

 21. For Tech Data online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to Tech Data overriding the distributor real-time price with your own distributor sales rep negotiated price. When submitting an overridden price you can enter a reason such as a Tech Data sales rep quotation # or manufacturer special. When Tech Data receives an order that has prices specified, it automatically places the order on hold for sales rep review. QuoteWerks will pass the reason you specified in each line item so the Tech Data sales rep knows the reason for the non-standard price. QuoteWerks automatically sends the Tech Data sales rep an email letting him know to look for this order and to process it. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 22. For Ingram Micro online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to Ingram Micro overriding the distributor real-time price with your own distributor sales rep negotiated price. When submitting an overridden price you can enter a reason such as a Ingram Micro sales rep quotation # or manufacturer special. When QuoteWerks detects that non-standard pricing is being submitted, it submits the order to Ingram Micro with AutoRelease set to Hold. The Ingram Micro sales rep needs to be notified to look for the OnHold order so QuoteWerks automatically sends the Ingram Micro sales rep an email letting him know to look for this order and to process it. QuoteWerks will pass the reason you specified for the non-standard pricing as comment lines below each of the line items so the Ingram Micro sales rep knows the reason for the non-standard price. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 23. For SYNNEX online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to SYNNEX overriding the SYNNEX real-time price with your own SYNNEX sales rep negotiated price. When submitting an overridden price you can enter a reason such as a SYNNEX quotation #. Upon receipt of an online order with prices that do not match SYNNEX real-time they will be placed on hold and flagged for manual review by the SYNNEX sales rep to approve the prices. Also the Order level Special Instructions has been increased to 300 characters and can be used to remind the sales rep of the reason for your non-standard price. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 24. For D&H online orders you can now choose to submit online orders to D&H overriding the distributor real-time price with your own distributor sales rep negotiated price. D&H does not support online order comment lines or allow for a unit price to be specified. QuoteWerks will list in the online order's REMARKS field the list of part numbers that have the non-standard price. This will flag the order to be manually reviewed. QuoteWerks will also automatically send the D&H sales rep an email letting him know to look for this order that contains non-standard pricing and to process it. The e-mail will include a reference to the part numbers and the non-standard pricing. The benefit is that now you can send over standard and specially negotiated price orders and even though it will flag the order to be manually reviewed, all the information will already be in the order without anyone having to re-type information.

 25. The QuoteWerks Product Content Subscription now returns the List Price from the QuoteWerks PartLocator service if List Price is not returned through the distributor's real-time Pricing & Availability system. The PartLocator currently stores list price for Tech Data (USA, Canada), Tech Data UK (Computer2000), Ingram Micro (USA, Canada, Australia), SYNNEX (USA), D&H (USA), and BlueStar (USA). You must have a realtime xml account with these distributors in order to receive their List price.

 26. When doing an Etilize search you can type in, for example, "mouse USB optical not(keyboard)" to search for USB optical mouse that does not have the word "keyboard" in the results.

 27. When a part number is found in an Etilize search, but the distributor part numbers are missing, QuoteWerks PartLocator will find them using the PartLocator data. When part numbers are not found through an Etilize search, it is typically because the part numbers require authorization to purchase. When this happens, the PartLocator bulls-eye icon will appear to the right of the part number.

 28. With product Content Subscription information coming from both Etilize and the QuoteWerks PartLocator, there are now visual indicators identifying where the information is coming from. A PartLocator bulls-eye icon will appear to the right of the part number if the PartLocator was used to locate the part number. Similarly, if the Etilize search returned no results at all, and the PartLocator did find results, then a PartLocator bulls-eye icon will appear in the bottom left of the Etilize panel. Conversely, if all the information was found through Etilize, then the Etilize icon will appear in the bottom left of the Etilize panel.

 29. For MS CRM 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 users the QuoteWerks linked document now attaches to the MS CRM opportunity instead of the MS CRM Account. This also applies to any file attaching that QuoteWerks performs with MS CRM, so the automatic attachment of PDF quotes sent to customers will attach to the opportunity (if any). The same applies when attaching files from the Links tab of the Quote WorkBook.

 30. Added a new line item level "&ProfitAmount" macro. Note, this is a line item level calculation of profit and is calculated and rounded per line item. This macro available as a column on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts.

 31. When duplicating a document, added option "Remove Line Item SONumber and PONumbers". This is useful when duplicating documents that already have purchasing related information in them.

 32. On the Notes tab of the Quote WorkBook, the ConvertedOn, ConvertedRef, and ConvertedBy display fields on the Notes tab of the Quote WorkBook.

 33. For debugging Product Content Subscription results, holding down the SHIFT key while double-Clicking on the PartLocator or Etilize icon located in the bottom left of the Etilize panel will show the XML data the content is based on.

 34. When selecting a line item on the Quote WorkBook, and using Etilize panel, when an item is not found in Etilize, QuoteWerks will search the PartLocator for the item's description and vendor information.

 35. On the File->New window, on the Template tab, clicking on the LastModified column now sorts by date vs alpha sorting.

 36. For QuickBooks users, QuickBooks Fixed Asset type accounts now show up in the Asset account list and also the Expense account list when creating items in QuickBooks.

 37. The Save File window now remembers the last folder that the last file was saved to. It separately remembers the folders depending upon what file saving action is being performed. Actions include: [Save as PDF] button from the Print window, when merging a word document from the File Links tab, when creating a new file to attach to the File Links tab.

 38. Added a new line item level "&RecurringRevenueWithTax" macro. This is available as a column on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts. This will contain the recurring revenue with tax amount whether it comes from Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual.

 39. On Deposit required window, typing in a % of document will auto populate the Fixed Amount field with the actual amount related to the percent. The fixed amount field can then be easily manually changed to round the amount or simply manually set an amount that is close. Pressing the enter key in either the Full Amount or Percent of Document field will "click the OK button".

 40. Added a P toolbar button above the Quote WorkBook grid on the Document Items tab. The P button displays the properties for the selected item, similar to the Edit->Edit Line Properties menu.

 41. Added an toolbar button above the Quote WorkBook grid on the Document Items tab. The A button displays the Line Attributes window for the selected item, similar to the Edit->Edit Line Attributes menu or double-clicking on the row selector for the line.

 42. For GoldMine users, you can now search by contact name.

 43. Added spotlight feature for the License Key list under the Utilities->License Manager menu. This is useful for installations that have, for example, 50 remote license keys and need to find a particular user's license key. This spotlight feature will highlight in bold all matching list entries and will ghost all entries that do not match.

 44. Implemented the existing InternalPartNumber field. Increased the size from 40 to 255 characters in the DocumentItems table. For new installations the InternalPartNumber field in the product database will be 255 characters. For existing product databases the field size will need to be increased manually from 40 to 255 characters. This InternalPartNumber field is available on the Document Items tab as a column and also on the Edit Product window.

 45. Added support for <> macro in the Word merging.

 46. When converting quotes to orders, quotes to invoices, or orders to invoices, the DocDate field on the Sale Info tab is now updated with the date of the conversion. If the quote was accepted through QuoteValet, then the date of that acceptance (which might be on a weekend) will be used.

 47. For Product Content Subscription users, individual product weights are being retrieved from Etilize (if available).

 48. For Ingram Micro users, when placing online orders, the Special Instructions field now supports up to 175 characters and appears as Ingram Micro sales rep internal comment lines at the top of the order.

 49. Added "&GroupExtendedCostPreRecurring" macro to display information related to the Recurring Group. This macro will show the total extended cost of all the items in the grouped bundle before the total extended cost was converted to a monthly amount in the recurring bundle. This macro is available as a column on the Document Items tab and also in the print layouts.

 50. On the DocumentItems tab, the ItemType column now accepts data for SubTotal, RunningSubTotal, and Summary type line items.

 51. Autotask contact data can be retrieved using the F2 Lookup macro of ~Autotask_Macro().

 52. salesforce.com contact data can be retrieved using the F2 Lookup macro of ~salesforce_Macro().

 53. On the Online Ordering screens for D&H, Ingram Micro, SYNNEX, and Tech Data, the PONumber field now as F2Lookup support. This can used in conjunction with the advanced F2 Lookup features like ~RunAppAndReturnClipboard(c:\windows,c:\YourCustomApp.exe,1) and ~RequestDDEValue(excel, sheet1, R1C1). With these you can essentially obtain the next PO number to use for your QuoteWerks PO number from an external application. See the user manual for details on these advanced F2Lookup features.

 54. The PriceModifier now supports rounding. This can be used to round the result of the Price modifier calculation. Normally with a PriceModifier of P20, for 20 points margin, with a cost of $100, the UnitPrice would be $112.36. If you use the Rounding feature of the Price Modifier like P20R1 then it would round to the nearest dollar resulting in $113.00. Rounding factors can only be 0.01, 0.05, 0.10, 1, 5, 10, 100 ( Examples: R0.01, R.05, R.10, R1, R5, R10, R100 )

See a screenshot/video of this feature

 3. The value for a percent discount line item that is located below a non-selected optional item will now be 0.00.

 4. The MS CRM 5.0 integration is now using the MS CRM native 5.0 API versus the forward compatible MS CRM 4.0 API. This MS CRM native 5.0 API requires the Microsoft Identify Framework (which Microsoft does not support on Windows XP) be installed which also requires Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0 be installed.

 5. All the print layouts were updated with newer recurring revenue formulas, the new QuoteWerks flat logo and misc improvements.

 6. On the SYNNEX online ordering window, the input boxes for the following fields now have max length limits preventing the entering of data longer than the SYNNEX order will allow.  9. Increased the size of the Export to Peachtree (Sage 50) window.

 10. On the D&H online ordering window, the input boxes for the following fields now have max length limits preventing the entering of data longer than the D&H order will allow. Fixes - Build 5
 1. For FedEx shipping rate users, received error "Error in QWXML_GetValue: Reason: Reference to undeclared namespace prefix: 'SOAP-ENV'."

 2. If there were over 32,768 orders in the Export to QuickBooks or Export to Peachtree window would receive an overflow error. Also on the Purchasing window.

 3. A QuoteWerks v4.7 shortcut was appearing in the QuoteWerks program group of a fresh installation of QuoteWerks v4.8

 4. For Tech Data Canada real-time pricing & availability users were receiving an error about a invalid data for a promo price.

 5. For Canadian users, when a quote was opened initially, the taxes would not be calculated for the line items that were a member of a group. Changing the Group quantity would force the calculations.

 6. For QuoteValet users, on the QuoteValet Dashboard payment tab would receive a message "Results have been limited by user rights.", but in some cases it should have actually displayed "There are payment(s) not shown because the document has not been imported yet." This would be the case of a QuoteValet Mobile quote or QuoteValet Shopping Cart order that has not been imported into the local QuoteWerks database yet. In this case, you would need to import the document from the Inbox tab.

 7. If a group was flagged as optional and was not selected, it would be included in the CRM Opportunity (if created) for ACT!, ACT! for Web, ConnectWise, Autotask, Outlook BCM, and MS CRM.

 8. When a part number search was run through Etilize and Etilize did not return a match, the QuoteWerks Part Locator search was automatically run, and if the QuoteWerks Part Locator did find the part number, the image displayed would always be of a HP toner cartridge.

 9. For non-USA SugarCRM users, it was possible that the dates associated with SugarCRM calls and opportunities wouldn't be saved and/or loaded correctly causing discrepancies.

 10. In Grouped Bundles on the quote that were converted to a single recurring monthly revenue price amount (Recurring Groups), the cost amount is also converted to a monthly amount to maintain a meaningful profit margin (Monthly Price - Monthly Cost). The monthly cost was being calculated using the APR for the customer price rather than a 0% APR for the cost.

 11. The ConvertedOn date on the Notes tab of the Quote WorkBook would display a date of 1899 if there was no ConvertedOn date.

 12. On the Adjust cost window, if the item had a price modifier like "P20R01", after changing the cost, the price modifier would be truncated like "0R01" and would not recalculate correctly.

 13. After a rehost to SQL the contacts.mdb and auxdata.mdb files were not getting renamed to contacts.rehosted and auxdata.rehosted respectively.

 14. The auxdata.mdb file was not getting rehosted to the SQL database during the rehost to SQL process.

 15. When clicking on the Picture Panel grid toolbar button, if you happened to be on a line item type that does not support item pictures, then it would not display the Picture Panel.

 16. Issue introduced in 4.8 build 4.x, if the QuoteWerks API was used to call a function like ItemFunctions.AddItemFromProductDatabase, that internally clears the copy buffer would receive a stack overflow error.

 17.
