Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:

When integrating with Outlook 2013, and choosing to create a linked document or a follow up call would receive the errors "Error (91) creating outlook journal entry" and "Error (91) creating outlook appointment" respectively.

Cause:

In Outlook 2013 Microsoft no longer supports the linking of Calls and Journals to Outlook Contacts.

Here are several resources regarding this change:

a) Legacy Contact Linking/Activities Tab
The Contact Activities Tab is removed from Outlook 2013. This previously provided a way to "link" contacts with other Outlook items, and have them all roll-up in the Activities Tab. The Outlook Social Connector (introduced in Outlook 2010) replaces much of this functionality in a faster, more user friendly fashion. b) Journal
The Journal doesnt appear on the ribbon in the new Navigation Bar. The default special folder for Journal still exists and can be selected from the Folders view in the Folder Pane. Any existing Journal folders appear in the Folder Pane Folder List view. In Outlook Options, the Notes and Journal is removed. The Journal Options button and related dialog box are no longer available. The journaling feature is always disabled. c) Development support for contact linking
The contact linking feature and its object model support (through the Link and Links objects) have been deprecated. Full article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj228679.aspx

Solution:

Update to QuoteWerks 4.8 Build 5.25 (or higher). This build will no longer attempt to link the journal entries and appointments to the Outlook contact thereby removing the error.

Solution 2:

In QuoteWerks Click Contacts -> Setup Contact Manager, click the Outlook Setup button, then the Advanced tab. Make sure that the Enable Advanced Integration is NOT checked.
