Issue:

When trying to create an Opportunity in ACT! through QuoteWerks, user receives an error similar to

Run-time error -2147024809
Parameter COMPETITOR failed set its value to type Date

Cause:

This was a bug in older versions of ACT! 2008. It was first detected in version 10.0.0.237.

Solution:

Upgrading the build of ACT! 2008 should resolve the issue; specifically, build 10.0.3.182 of ACT! was tested and confirmed to be free of the problem.
