Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?

Issue:
When trying to launch QuoteWerks:

Query Error
Error (-2147467259)
Could not use *; file already in use.

Cause:

This error message occurs because you do not have the correct permissions to create the lock file (.ldb) for a Microsoft Access database. By default, a lock file is created in the same folder as the Microsoft Access .mdb file.

Solution 1:

Ensure all users have full read/write (full control) permissions for the QuoteWerks folder, subfolders and files.

Solution 2:

If you receive the error when clicking on the Products button:

Found that the product database that was giving the error was not removing the lock(.ldb) on the database even after all users were out of QuoteWerks.

Manually delete the lock(.ldb) file and then QuoteWerks launches without error.
