Salesforce.com - Error 1236 when saving an Opportunity.

Issue:

Error 1236 referencing a missing field, followed by:

"A QuoteWerks salesforce.com attachment file needs to be associated to an Salesforce.com opportunity which does not exist, or has not been created! Salesforce.com attachment will not be created."

Cause:

One of two possibilities - Either a custom field has been added to the Opportunity Page Layout in Salesforce and set as Required or one of the necessary fields, such as Amount, has been removed from the Opportunity Page Layout.

Solution:

Inside of Salesforce's Setup, remove the required setting for any custom fields that have been added and make sure that the following fields are available:

Opportunity Owner
Opportunity Name
Account Name
Amount
Stage
Probability
