Issue:

When trying to rehost QuoteWerks to SQL, the following error occurs:

Error in ExecuteSchemaChange:
Error (-2147217900) Directory lookup for the file <"file path"> failed with the operating system error 3 (The system cannot find the path specified)., Native Error=5133 Error(-2147217900) CREATE DATABASE failed. Some file names listed could not be created.





Cause:

The default data directory for the SQL database has been modified to point to a location that is not a valid data directory or contains no data.

Solution:

Edit the SQL Server Properties, using SQL Enterprise Manager. Select the Database Settings Tab and remove the path listed in the default data directory so that it is blank.
