Running QuoteWerks Corporate Edition Times Out

Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:
While running QuoteWerks Corporate Edition rehosted to SQL, time out errors are occurring not allowing the successful launch of QuoteWerks.

Cause:
If you are running via a VPN or slow network connection, you may encounter this issue if a SQL Alias is not created. ***Please Note: QuoteWerks is only supported over a VPN for Sync purposes only. ***

Solution:
Under the SQL Client Network utility, create an alias to the SQL server that is experiencing the time out. Assuming the SQL Server is SSERVER, the Server alias would be SSERVER, the Network Library would be TCP/IP, and the Connection Parameters would be SSERVER. You may also try using the IP address of the SQL server as well if there are not multiple instances of SQL on the same server.
