Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:

Can I backup my data with QuoteWerks?

Solution:

Whether you are backing up QuoteWerks or any other software program/data, the method you use to backup the data is really up to you.

When you run Maintenance with the Quotewerks Medic Utility, the Medic will create backup files of the databases that have been selected for maintenance. The backup files are placed in the root of the QuoteWerks Directory and have a *.B file extension. (For example, if you run Maintenance on your documents database (docs.mdb), the Medic will create a docs.b01 file. the next time you run maintenance on your docs.mdb file, the Medic will create a docs.b02 file, and so on, and so forth...)

I do NOT recommend relying on the Medic for a true backup. The reason being, is that if the server that hosts the QuoteWerks Directory experiences a catastrophic failure, all of your backup files will be lost, since they are also inside the QuoteWerks Directory.

The QuoteWerk backup files that the Medic creates are handy when you need to restore individual database files, however, it is not suggested that they be used as your only means of backup. For more information on the QuoteWerks Medic Utility, please refer to the QuoteWerks manual, in the chapter entitled "Medic Utility." If you do not have a hard copy of the QuoteWerks Manual, you can view the manual by simply launching QuoteWerks and selecting Help->QuoteWerks Help.
