Merging 3 (or more) Product Databases into one

Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?

Issue:

We have 3 databases and need to consolitdate them into one.


Solution:

The easiest way to do this is to export the data out of 2 of the databases and import them into one.

For example:

Let's say I have Database A, Database B, And Database C.

- Go to the Products->Setup Product Sources menu

- Right-click on Database A and select Export. This will export the data into a delimited text file and place it into the root of the QuoteWerks directory.

- Perform the same procedure with Database B

- Now you can use the QuoteWerks Import Wizard to import the data into Database C.

IMPORTANT: Be sure that this procedure will NOT cause you to import duplicate Manufacturer Part Numbers! The manufacturer part number MUST be unique PER database!
