Issue:

Is it possible to link a QuoteWerks document to an existing contact instead of an existing opportunity


Solution:

It is possible to do, however, it is considered a workaround. Please look at the example below:

opportunity&SoldToCMOpportunityRecID={!Opportunity_ID}

This example is showing a portion of the long URL string that you can see in Knowledge Base Article 6113.

- opportunity&SoldToCMOpportunityRecID is the field as it corresponds to QuoteWerks

- !Opportunity_ID is the field as it corresponds to Salesforce.com.

You will need to change the SalesForce field of the URL to reflect the Company_ID (or Contact_ID) as opposed to the Opportunity_ID as shown in the sample above.
