Issue:

Exporting to QuickBooks Generates the following error:
Error code: 3070
Severity: Error
Description: The string "AAAAQ1001-02" in the field "RefNumber" is too long
(Note: The document number will vary - this is only an example)



Cause:

QuickBooks has limitations on the length of characters that can be passed to this field. In Quickbooks Premier Edition 2005, the length appears to be 11 characters.

Solutions:

Solution A:
Select the Tools->Export To QuickBooks menu and click the "Setup" button. On the Transaction Tab, choose "Use QuickBooks Auto-Numbering" in the drop-down menu labeled "Invoice/Estimate Number."

Solution B:

You can modify the document numbering scheme. (For example: JLABQ01 or JLABQ001, instead of JLABQ1000)
