ACT! 2005/2006 - Error Creating Attachment Record in ACT!

Issue:
After modifying a document in which the contact information was originally brought in from ACT! 2000 (or a prior release) and now resaving the document and attempting to link into ACT! 2005/2006/2007, the following error message appears:

Error creating attachment record in ACT!
Details:
Attachment='PATH'
Name='NAME'
LastError=Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX)



Cause:
The contact information which was initially brought over from ACT! 2000 uses a different formatting than the link with ACT! 2005/2006/2007. Because of this, ACT! 2005/2006/2007 cannot accept the old format for contact information.

Solution:
With that contact open in ACT! 2005/2006/2007, bring the contact information back into the Sold To/Ship To/Bill To fields in QuoteWerks and then resave the document. This will give the option of relinking the document to the newer version of ACT! and the error will not occur.
