Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:
When starting QuoteWerks by launching the application an error message appears:

"Error 429 captured by sub_main
ActiveX component cannot create object"


Clicking Ok will then close the window and not allow you into the QuoteWerks application.

Cause:
The application nVidia nView Desktop Manager is installed when loading the graphics drivers for certain nVidia graphics cards including the Quadro FX4000 and Quadro FX3400. This application allows additional graphics options for each addtional window that is open on the desktop. When this optional program is enabled, QuoteWerks may encounter the 429 issue at startup and cannot be run.

Solution:
Disabling this optional program can resolve the issue and allow QuoteWerks to run normally.
