Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:

How do I perform an upgrade of Quotewerks on a Network Installation?

Solution:

0.) Make a backup of the entire QuoteWerks folder. (To Check your Install Path, Log into QuoteWerks and Click on Help --> About --> System --> Install Path)

1.) Download the QuoteWerks from our website onto your computer or the server.

(DO Not Save the File into the QuoteWerks Directory (Folder)).

2.) Please close all programs including QuoteWerks on the computer running the update. (Chat programs, pop-up blockers, virus scanners, etc)

3.) Launch the install program and select the option to update QuoteWerks. At this point you may need to provide your Update Key (listed below in case you need it).
NOTE: If all users will be remoting into the same server to access QuoteWerks there (e.g. Terminal Server, RDS, citrix server), then be sure that you put the server into Install Mode first before running*.

4.) QuoteWerks should automatically detect your QuoteWerks Directory (folder). Please double-check the path is correct (meaning make sure it matches the Install Path determined in step 0). If so - continue.

5.) QuoteWerks will now upgrade your QuoteWerks Directory

6.) When it is Complete, the Node Installation Program will automatically begin to run.

7.) When the Node installation is complete, you may be Required to Restart your System to Complete the Installation - QuoteWerks will now be Updated!

8.) If each user's computer is running the client portion of QuoteWerks, navigate to the QuoteWerks folder share from the user's computer. Inside the QuoteWerks Directory/folder you will find a file named NSETUP.EXE. Ensure all programs including QuoteWerks on the client computer are closed. (Chat programs, pop-up blockers, virus scanners, etc)

9.) Double click on NSETUP.EXE to launch the file (Node Installation program) to update the client portion on the user computer.

Setting the environment to Install Mode (if a RDS, Terminal Server, etc):

1. Open an elevated command prompt (Start --> CMD -->right click --> run as administrator) and enter "change user /install" (without quotes).
2. Run the Node Installation Program as an administrator (right click --> run as administrator on nsetup.exe)
3. When the Node installation is complete, make sure to run "change user /execute" at a command prompt
