Issue:

User's receives the error "Unable to start Print Job" when saving as PDF or e-mailing.

Cause:

The port for the QuoteWerks PDF Generator is set to a Win2PDF port, which is apparently an independent PDF Generating program. It has also occurred when the printer port was set to XPS.

Solution:

Go to the PDF Generator's properties and go to the Ports tab. Click Add Port, select Local Port and then click the New Port button. Type in PDFGenerator without any spaces and click Ok, then Close. Close out of the PDF Properties and test the PDF generation in QuoteWerks; it should work fine from here.

If the problem only happens when saving the pdf to a file. Verify the File: Print to File port is listed in the printer ports tab. If not, select Add Port, then Local Port, name the port "File:" and click ok.
