Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:

You want to use an ACT! toolbar button to start QuoteWerks and use the QuoteWerks command line options to do things like log into QuoteWerks, start a new quote, and retrieve the current customer information from ACT! but it does not work.

Cause:

There is a limitation in the ACT! toolbar button feature where ACT! does not support passing command line parameters to the application that is launched when the toolbar button is clicked.

This limitation in ACT! prevents you from using the command line features in QuoteWerks that would allow you to launch QuoteWerks and automatically pull in the currently displayed contact information.

Solution:

You can create a shortcut on your desktop with the following command line parameters:

"c:\program files\QuoteWerks\qw4.exe" /c:3

When you run the shortcut, QuoteWerks will start and will pull in the currently displayed contact information from ACT!

Our only suggestion as a workaround is to possibly move the shortcut from the example above down to your Windows QuickLaunch toolbar at the bottom of your screen. You can do this by dragging and dropping the shortcut.
