E_FAIL Error message when linking to Tech Data or Fox Pro Database

Are you using the most current release of QuoteWerks?
Version 24.0 Build 2
Issue:
When connecting to the Tech Data Database or other Fox Pro Database, I receive the following error:


Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)':
Data provider or other service returned an E_FAIL status.


Cause 1:
Typically this issue will occur when there is incorrect or improperly formatted data in a field of the database or other issue with the database.

Solution 1:
If using Tech Data, download the database on the next update by Tech Data to see if this resolves the issue.

If not using Tech Data, contact the company that provided you the database.

Cause 2:
The Foxpro driver may not be registered properly on your computer.
