Question:

What information should I map when importing the Ingram Micro FTP file?

Answer:

1. You can use any columns available in the FTP file.
2. We recommend having at least the Manufacturer Part Number, Description, and Cost, although you are in no way limited to these.
3. Once you have set up your mapping, you can create an import template on the last step of the import process (which is located under Products -> Import Wizard).

Notes:
After saving the template, it is possible to use command line parameters to use the template for automation or use the template from the Products -> Import Wizard.

The following command line parameter may be used:

C:\Program Files\QuoteWerks\QW4.EXE /u:"Username" /p:"Password" /i:"my importForIngram.pit" /exit:2

This procedure will log into QuoteWerks, run the product import based on the pit template specified and then exit QuoteWerks.
