Question:
Do all Quotes default with a blank line and can I remove it?

Answer:
All new quotes default with a blank line and it can not be removed. If you make no calculations on the blank line and no fields are changed, you can add a product to the quote and the blank line will be replaced with that product.

Please note, if you are using the Data Link Setup in conjunction with your contact manager and are bringing in the Tax Rate along with your contact information, by bringing in a tax rate, a calculation will be made on all lines including the blank line. In this situation, you may want to add your products first and then bring over your contact information.
