Question:
How do I setup the Synchronization in QuoteWerks

Solution:
1) Make sure that the "Look for Synchronized Data" check box under the Installation Tab of the Tools-Options menu is checked for all laptops and the network installation.

2) After you run your GoldMine sync process, start the network installation of QuoteWerks, and select the UtiltiesMerge Remote Documents menu. This will synchronize the contents of all the linked documents with the database. You will also need to run this utility on each laptop after it does a GoldMine sync.

Additional Notes:

The GoldMine synchronization features should synchronize the documents into the same \QuoteWerks\DTF directory on both the laptop and the network installation. The GoldMine synchronization feature has a requirement that in order for linked document files to be correctly synchronized to their original directories, the relative path of the QuoteWerks directory must be the same on the network installation and the laptop installation. For example, if you install QuoteWerks on your server to the F:\QuoteWerks directory, you must install QuoteWerks on the remote PC into the C:\QuoteWerks directory. If you install QuoteWerks on your server to the F:\winapps\QuoteWerks directory, you must install QuoteWerks on the remote PC into the C:\winapps\QuoteWerks directory. This requirement is due to the way that the GoldMine synchronization features work.
