Question:
What is the Summarization Type in the Print Layout and Report editors?

Solution:
The summarization type will execute the settings per the field that has been added to the document. This can be located by double clicking on the field within the layout.

Total: Add up the value of the field per line item.
Value: Returns the value of the field.
Average: Add up all the values and divides by the total number of items.
Count: Add up the total number of items.
Max: Displays the Max value of all items.
Min: Displays the Min value of all items.

Notes:
When a field is placed in a footer section, it is automatically flagged with a summarization type of total. Summarization types may be changed by Right Clicking on the field, and choosing format or Double Clicking on the field.
