Can I use distributor offline pricing guides?

Solution:
Ingram Micro and Tech Data provide their customers with an offline product and pricing database. You can obtain these databases from their web sites, on a weekly or daily basis depending on the distributor, or on a CD-ROM.

Before QuoteWerks, users would have to search for products using each of the distributor's different pricing applications. While these applications allowed you to perform simple product lookups, QuoteWerks can access all of the distributor product databases at the same time, AND pull the product and pricing information over to your quote quickly and easily, where the data can be easily manipulated at presented to your customer in a professional format.

See the Products and Product Databases chapter in the Quotewerks manual (HelpView Manual), which discusses linking QuoteWerks to external product databases for Ingram Micro, Merisel and Tech Data.

Note: When linking to or updating the offline price guides of PC industry distributors and updating your pricing for these distributors, no one else can be logged into QuoteWerks except the person who is running the link and or update.
