QuoteWerks integrates with the following contact management sources.

Act!™

Act!™ for Web

Autotask®

ConnectWise®

GoldMine®

Google® Contacts

HubSpot CRM

Kaseya BMS

Maximizer®

Maximizer CRM Live

Microsoft® Dynamics CRM

Microsoft® Outlook

QuickBooks®

QuoteWerks™ built-in contact database

Sage 50 (Peachtree)

Salesforce.com®

SugarCRM™

Zoho CRM

None (you can manually enter contact information if you wish)

Note:If you don't see your contact manager in the list above, you can use the built-in QuoteWerks database or select the None option. There are also 3rd party contact managers that have written links to QuoteWerks. These integrations can be found on our website.

Another option is to use the QuoteWerks API to create a link between the applications. The SDK includes a sample program that shows you how easily you can accomplish this.

Tip:When we offer a contact management integration with the above software packages, we generally refer to them as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. It's important, however, to note some distinctions. QuickBooks and Sage 50 (Peachtree) are, in fact, accounting software packages; Autotask and ConnectWise are Professional Services Automation (PSA) software packages. PSA software, in addition to having CRM functionality, will also have time-tracking, ticketing, and billing features.

The simplest level of contact management integration is to retrieve contact information from a contact manager and place it into a quote, order, or invoice in QuoteWerks. QuoteWerks provides this level of integration for all of the supported contact managers. QuoteWerks also provides additional write-back integration with some of the supported contact managers, which will be covered later in this Chapter.

To choose the contact manager that you will be using with QuoteWerks, select the Contacts -> Setup Contact Manager menu:

On this window, you can select your contact manager and Secondary contact manager if applicable:

A secondary CRM setting means you'll use another CRM/PSA application (Hubspot, Zoho, ACT!, salesforce.com, etc.) as your primary CRM to search for contacts and pull them into QuoteWerks, and yet still be able to take advantage of the advanced PSA integration for products, opportunities, tickets, etc. in Autotask or ConnectWise.

The Display Secondary CRM Export Window on each Save option will automatically bring up the window to update your secondary CRM when the document is saved in QuoteWerks so the secondary CRM opportunity is always up to date.  With this unchecked, the user will need to go to the Tools-> Export to Secondary CRM menu option to update the secondary CRM Opportunity each time they want to update it.
