Scroll Prev Top Next More
Note:Sage 50 (Peachtree) must be running, and a Sage 50 (Peachtree) company file must be open in Sage 50 (Peachtree) when setting up the Sage 50 (Peachtree) Integration and when exporting the documents.

To set up the Sage 50 (Peachtree) link, you can enter the setup window by selecting either the:

Tools -> Options menu > Accounting tab, then clicking on the [Setup Link] button.

Tools -> Export to Peachtree menu, then clicking on the [Setup] button.

Note:Before you can set up the Sage 50 (Peachtree) link, you need to make sure that Sage 50 (Peachtree) security features have been configured to allow external applications to integrate with Sage 50 (Peachtree). For more information, see Sage 50 (Peachtree) Security Features.

The Sage 50 (Peachtree) Setup window is shown below:

For information on the Setup window's tabs, see:

General Tab

Transaction Tab

Mappings Tab

Defaults Tab

Sales Tax Tab

Note:QuoteWerks support services does not provide any technical support for the setup of Sage 50 (Peachtree). If you have just purchased Sage 50 (Peachtree) recently, it is recommended that you setup QuickBooks based on your accounting needs and become familiar with using Sage 50 (Peachtree) for a couple of months before you start using the QuoteWerks link to Sage 50 (Peachtree). Another important note is that technical support for the QuoteWerks Sage 50 (Peachtree) link is only available for users of the current version of Sage 50 (Peachtree). It is not possible for our technicians to support the link for six different versions of Sage 50 (Peachtree).

Things you need to know about the Interactive Sage 50 (Peachtree) Integration:

The interactive integration works with Sage 50 (Peachtree) Accounting 2006 and higher.

The interactive integration exports QuoteWerks documents to Sage 50 (Peachtree) as a Sales Order or Invoice. Also, the link exports a purchase order for each vendor with items in the QuoteWerks document.

You can link directly to the Sage 50 (Peachtree) item list eliminating the need to export your items out of Sage 50 (Peachtree) for importing into QuoteWerks.

Sage 50 (Peachtree) does not support compound taxes (sales tax computed on top of sales tax).

When importing invoices/sales orders, Sage 50 (Peachtree) does NOT automatically number the document. The number will be empty when sent to Sage 50 (Peachtree).

The vendor Address on purchase orders is pulled from Sage 50 (Peachtree), not the QuoteWerks document.

Sage 50 (Peachtree) has an item description limit of 160 characters for items, invoices, sales orders, and purchase orders. Sage 50 (Peachtree) item descriptions cannot contain distinct lines; rather the entire description is automatically wrapped to the next line as required.

If you work with multiple Sage 50 (Peachtree) companies, you must open the Sage 50 (Peachtree) company that you want to import into before you run the Export to Sage 50 (Peachtree) process in QuoteWerks.

When exporting documents to Sage 50 (Peachtree), the document cannot contain % discount or % charge line items as Sage 50 (Peachtree) does not support these.

Sage 50 (Peachtree) does not support the QuoteWerks running subtotal type of line item; therefore it is not exported to Sage 50 (Peachtree).

When exporting documents to Sage 50 (Peachtree), the document cannot use of a % discount in the price modifier column of a group header line item. When exported to Sage 50 (Peachtree), the discount will not be applied.

When grouped bundles or grouped configurations are used in QuoteWerks, the group header line is not exported, only the group member line items within the group are exported unless the option to “Convert grouped items to single item” is selected in which case only one line is exported for the entire group which will be the group header line.

When grouped bundles or grouped configurations are used in QuoteWerks, when they are exported to Sage 50 (Peachtree), the prices of the individual line items in the group will be displayed unless the option to “Convert grouped items to single item” is selected in which case only one line is exported for the entire group.
