Refreshing Items with Latest or Best Pricing

QuoteWerks has a feature that allows you to update the prices of the items in your quote with the latest or best prices of the items from the product source or real-time vendor.

Refresh Items w/Latest Pricing

To refresh all the line items in the quote, select Tools -> Refresh Items w/Latest Pricing menu. QuoteWerks will lookup the items in the quote in the product source(s) they where obtained from using the manufacturer part number and vendor name. Then, QuoteWerks will refresh the cost and price values with the current prices in the database. If any part numbers cannot be found in the product database, you will be notified in the status bar of the main window.

If you select specific items on the quote sheet, it will only refresh those items selected otherwise it will refresh the entire quote.

Refresh Items w/Best Pricing

QuoteWerks has a feature that will search all the product sources that you select to find the vendor that has the lowest purchasing price for each of the items in your quote.

To refresh all the line items in the quote, select the Tools -> Refresh Items w/Best Pricing menu:

QuoteWerks will look up the items from the quote in each of the product databases that you selected using the manufacturer part number of each item.

If a vendor that you selected offers real-time pricing and the real-time data module is activated, then you will be asked if you want to retrieve the price from the offline database, or the real-time data.  Once you make your selection, you can choose [Ok] to move to the next step or use the [Ok for All] button to use the same settings for each item you have selected to refresh.

Then QuoteWerks will refresh the cost and price values of each line item with the current prices and vendor name of the vendor that has the lowest purchasing price for the item. If any part numbers cannot be found in the product database, you will be notified in the status bar of the main window.

Note:The Real-time Data module licensing is based on the “reserved concurrency” model. Whenever a user on the network uses the real-time data module, a license is reserved for that user and is not released until the user exits QuoteWerks. Etilize licensing is linked to the Real-time Data module license count, so if all the Real-time licenses are in use by other users, the Etilize product source will also be unavailable.

If you select specific items on the quote sheet it will only refresh those items selected otherwise it will refresh the entire quote.

Note:If the Vendor being compared existed as a Product database and also as a real-time pricing source, QuoteWerks will look in the real-time vendor first if the item has been added to the quote using Etilize and Vendor Sourcing. If the sourcing for that item was not cached, QuoteWerks will revert to the Product Database for vendor information.
