Question Are there any known issues with the QuoteWerks Winfax link and Windows XP?
Answer WinFax 10.0 and earlier did not work on Windows XP. Winfax 10.01 and higher do work on Windows XP.
However, the WinFax API (which 3rd party programs like QuoteWerks use to integrate with WinFax using DDE) does not fully function on WIndows XP (even if you are running WinFax 10.01 (or higher)).
The QuoteWerks/WinFax link using this API is subject to those WinFax limitations. The link can still send the QuoteWerks document to WinFax, but the Fax Number and Name may not be passed from QuoteWerks to WinFax.
WinFax is no longer supported by the Symantec the manufacturer of WinFax as of August 2006, so there is no expectation that this issue will ever be resolved. For details please see the Symantec WinFax End of Life article
