How Do I?... > Add an existing Product/Service to the quote?

There are several ways to add existing products and services that are in a QuoteWerks product database to your quote.

•	Select the Products\|Lookup menu, type in the criteria that you are searching for like a manufacturer or part number, click on the [Find] button, and then double-click on any items you want to add to the quote.

Select the Products|Lookup menu, and scroll through the list of products and services until you find the item that you looking for, and then double-click on any items you want to add to the quote. To assist you in making your selection, you can re-sort the list using the “Sort By” drop down list on this window.

•	Select the Products\|Lookup menu, and select a folder within a product database to see a list of products and services that are in that folder, and then double-click on any items you want to add to the quote.

Type in a manufacturer part number of your Product/Service in the manufacturer part number field on the Products Bar Toolbar, and press the enter key to add the item to the quote. The Products Bar toolbar is displayed in the main Quote WorkBook window. You can also enter a space and then a quantity following the manufacturer part number to specify a quantity to use when adding this item to the quote.

Add Item Assistant

Note, by default, when items are selected to be added to the quote, they are added to the quote immediately, and appear in the DocumentItems tab of the Quote WorkBook. There is an option under the Tools|My Preferences menu that allows you to Enable the Add Item Assistant. When the Add Item Assistant is enabled, and you select an item from the Product Lookup window, the Add Item Assistant window will appear before the item is added to the quote allowing you to adjust the quantity, insertion position, and pricing before the item is added to the quote.
