When QuoteWerks is initially installed using the installation program from the CD-ROM that you have purchased, or using the installation program that you download from the website, QuoteWerks will be in demo mode.
To activate the QuoteWerks installation you will need to enter in the QuoteWerks License Key(s) that you have purchased. These License Keys tell QuoteWerks which edition (Standard, Professional, or Corporate) you have purchased, how many licenses you have purchased, and if you have purchased any of the optional links like the QuickBooks link, Peachtree link, and Open Export module.
When QuoteWerks is started, it will prompt you to [Continue in Demo Mode], or [Enter a License Key]. If you have purchased License Key(s), choose the option to Enter a License Key. You will be prompted to enter a License Key. When you purchased QuoteWerks, you will have received your License Key(s) verbally over the phone, or the License Key(s) will be on a label on the back of the CD-ROM case, or the License Key(s) will be located on an Order Confirmation page that was included with your shipment. If you cannot locate your License Key(s), you can contact QuoteWerks Support Services to assist you in locating your License Key(s).
If you purchased a 7-User license (as an example), you will have received two license keys. You will have received a 5-user and a 2-user license key. Combined, these keys add up to 7-users. On the window that prompts you to enter a License Key, you can enter either one of the keys. Generally, we recommend that you enter the key that contains the larger number of licenses. When you are entering the License Key into this window, the letters that you type are not case sensitive and will automatically appear in upper case as you type them in.
After you have entered the License Key, QuoteWerks will let you know that this License Key needs to be registered within 30 days. QuoteWerks will be FULLY FUNCTIONAL during this 30 day period. If you have purchased any of the optional accounting links, other modules, or additional QuoteWerks licenses, you can enter these additional License Keys after QuoteWerks has started by selecting the Utilities|License Manager menu, and clicking on the [Add License] button for each additional License Key.
