Features of the new QuoteWerks integration for SugarCRM include:
•	QuoteWerks lets users search the SugarCRM database for a Contact or Account to use in the quote.
•	When saving a quote, QuoteWerks automatically creates a Note record for the contact and will attach a linked document to the Note, from which the user can, at a later time, launch QuoteWerks and open the quote for review and modification.
•	When saving a quote, QuoteWerks will automatically create or update a Sales Opportunity under the Sales tab for the Contact in SugarCRM.
•	When a sale is made, QuoteWerks will convert the quote to an order and also convert the existing SugarCRM Sales Opportunity into a “Closed as Won” sale.
•	QuoteWerks will also offer to schedule a follow-up call, in SugarCRM, for the user when saving a quote or quote revision.
•	With the built-in QuoteWerks print layout designer, users can easily insert data fields from SugarCRM directly into the QuoteWerks print layout.
•	QuoteWerks can pull lookup list information from SugarCRM.

Data, now enables users to place online orders with three of the largest IT related product distributors.
The Online Ordering module can place online orders with Ingram Micro (USA and Canada) and Synnex
(USA and Canada) from within QuoteWerks (requires Real-time and Online Ordering modules). Users
can order items from a single QuoteWerks order, or combine items from multiple QuoteWerks orders into
a single Ingram Micro or Synnex order. This will save QuoteWerks users the time and hassle of calling
their Ingram Micro or Synnex sales rep and reading each part number, quantity, and price to him/her.
Another benefit is that the order date and distributor sales order number will automatically be stored with
the QuoteWerks order for reference. When placing online orders electronically through QuoteWerks,
there is an option that will let the sales rep place the order on hold. This will afford users an opportunity to
review their orders with the distributor and negotiate pricing without the time consuming process of
reading to the distributor rep all the part numbers, quantities, ship to location, etc. No more calling the
distributor sales rep only to reach voice mail (understandable - sales reps can't be on the phone with
more than one customer at a time) and then have to remember try again later in the day to place the
order - or wait for a call back! This is truly the best of both worlds - automation with sales rep service!
Additionally, Online Ordering for Ingram Micro and Synnex both support government and educational
pricing and the ability to drop or blind ship ordered products to the end user.

integration with Microsoft Outlook. Building upon the existing integration and feature set, the QuoteWerks
development team introduced expanded CRM functionality into the integration, providing users with new
tools to increase their efficiency in preparing and managing their sales quotes.
The integration; which is compatible with Outlook 97, 98, 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007; provides the
following features and benefits for users of both QuoteWerks and Outlook:
QuoteWerks pulls Outlook contact information into the quote: QuoteWerks will populate the contact
information in the quote by pulling the contact information from the contact currently open in Outlook, thus
eliminating the need for users to retype contact information when preparing a new quote.
NEW – QuoteWerks pulls additional Outlook contact information into the quote: Utilizing its
innovative DataLink feature, QuoteWerks can automatically pull other information from Outlook into the
quote such as customer terms, customer sales tax rate, and customer profiles which can be used by
QuoteWerks to determine the appropriate pricing a particular customer should receive. The DataLink
feature saves this additional data to the quote file within QuoteWerks.
QuoteWerks can search the Outlook database for a contact to use in the quote: QuoteWerks has
the ability to search the user’s Outlook database for a contact by company, last name, or phone number
and pull the contact information into the quote.
QuoteWerks can also search Exchange Public
Folders, enabling users and their colleagues to
search for and use shared contact data. Both
business and home address entries are supported
by QuoteWerks.

NEW – QuoteWerks creates Linked Documents in Outlook: Upon saving a quote, QuoteWerks can
automatically create a linked document record in Outlook under the Activities tab as a Journal Entry. This
feature enables users to quickly recall the
quote by selecting the appropriate link,
which will automatically open the quote
within QuoteWerks. Users can also
search for quotes from the Journal pane in

QuoteWerks logs emails in Outlook: QuoteWerks has the ability to send email using the build-in SMTP
email client or Outlook. For users who choose to use Outlook for sending email from within QuoteWerks,
the email message will be logged in Outlook. This feature is especially useful when resending quotes or
confirming a quote’s submission.
NEW – QuoteWerks can pull lookup list information from Outlook: Many of the fields in QuoteWerks
support lookup lists that display when the user activates it using the F2 key. When selected, QuoteWerks
will display a list of values that the user can choose from to populate the field with. Users can also create
a macro value that pulls information from a field in Outlook. For example, if a user selects the lookup list
while on the terms field in QuoteWerks, QuoteWerks will display a list of terms options that were
previously entered. The user can create a new option that retrieves a value from a field on Outlook that
will be used to store the terms.

software solutions for the global small and midmarkets, released today a new utility for QuoteWerks that
imports HTML quotes received from Dell.

This new utility, developed by the QuoteWerks development team, reduces the time it takes technology
firms to produce quotes for their clients that contain Dell products. Once a QuoteWerks user receives a
quote from their Dell representative via email (as an HTML attachment) the user can begin importing the
quote into QuoteWerks. The applet will allow the user to set the import parameters such as how
QuoteWerks will handle the Dell Quote number, individual product part numbers, and the category
descriptions for each item included on the quote. The utility can also import both grouped items and
individual items into the quote.

One advantage of the Dell utility is that QuoteWerks will create/update the sales opportunity in the user’s
CRM system with the information contained in the quote. Additionally, since the information can now be
automatically passed to the user’s CRM system, users are able to schedule follow up calls and relate
sales tasks to the quote. Also, users can easily include Dell items into a QuoteWerks layout and format
of their choice. Finally, all items (and related data) imported via the utility is now stored in QuoteWerks
making it fully accessible and searchable for reporting and tracking purposes.
Additional utilities that are available at no cost to QuoteWerks users are:

- Excel Utility: Convert QuoteWerks fields (both document header and document item) into a preformatted
XLS file.
- Multiple Product Source Search: Enables users to search for products across multiple product
sources.
- Rounding Utility: Round line items on the current document (quote, order, or invoice) to the
nearest decimal place or multiple.
- Group Part Number Builder: Creates a Manufacturer Part Number for Group Header lines
created by Bundles, Configurations, or on-the-fly based on a custom field in each member of the
group.
- Tech Data Shopping Cart Importer: Imports the items in the Tech Data shopping cart into the
currently open quote.
